Case Study: H Mart Burlington 56,000 Sq. Ft. Supermarket & Cold-Storage Refrigeration Power
1. Engineering Challenge & Facility Requirements
Large-format international supermarkets are among the most electrically complex retail facilities built—combining massive 480V/208V parallel compressor racks for walk-in freezers and refrigerated display cases, live seafood filtration tanks, bakery ovens, and a multi-restaurant food hall with complex Ansul fire-suppression and make-up air interlocks.
2. Electrical Dynamics Technical Execution
Electrical Dynamics installed the primary service distribution, sub-panel network, roof-top HVAC and refrigeration condenser feeds, under-slab waterproof raceways to island freezer cases, commercial kitchen hood shunt-trip systems, and an integrated Energy Management System (EMS) controlling high-CRI retail lighting and refrigeration anti-sweat heaters.
3. Verified Project Outcomes
- Powered 56,000 square feet of high-density refrigeration, food preparation, and retail sales floor space in Burlington.
- Passed all Burlington Wire, Fire Prevention, and Board of Health life-safety inspections for opening day.
