Case Study: Harbor Place Haverhill Mixed-Use Waterfront Development & Standby Generator Plant
1. Engineering Challenge & Facility Requirements
Replacing the historic Woolworth site along the Merrimack River in downtown Haverhill, Harbor Place is a flagship multi-building commercial, institutional, and residential waterfront development. The project required complex multi-tenant utility metering, heavy crane-rigged emergency standby generators, parallel conduit risers, and integrated fire alarm life safety in a tight urban riverfront footprint.
2. Electrical Dynamics Technical Execution
Electrical Dynamics managed the complete electrical and emergency power package—coordinating heavy crane rigging to set the enclosed standby generator units, fabricating multi-conduit vertical and horizontal feeder banks, installing multi-metering switchboards, and commissioning the building-wide addressable fire alarm and boardwalk illumination.
3. Verified Project Outcomes
- Successfully rigged, wired, and load-bank tested the emergency standby generator plant and transfer switch network.
- Delivered clean, code-compliant electrical rooms and life-safety systems for commercial, academic, and residential tenants.
